m0n0 jay – “L.L.L. (ATH remix)”
If you came in expecting the candy-colored energy of the original “L.L.L.”, give yourself a second to recalibrate. French producer Arthur Conseil took the stems and built something else entirely. This is a 135+ BPM industrial trance and techno track with a grinding bassline that doesn’t ease up. The pop structure is gone. The brightness is gone. What’s left is built for a dark room with a loud system.
The interesting part is what Conseil kept. m0n0 jay’s soprano vocal is still in there, and so is the xylophone MIDI that made the original so recognizable. But without the busy pop production around them, both hit differently. Her voice sounds more exposed than it did before, almost breathless against the noise and the xylophone pops up in the mix and genuinely catches you off guard. That tension between the abrasive electronic foundation and those two melodic holdovers is where the remix actually lives.
Releasing this as an extended mix for club DJs before the Spotify date makes sense. You need a proper sound system to get the full effect. The build is long and hypnotic the way club tracks need to be, and cutting it down would ruin the point of the thing.
Honestly, this kind of move is harder to pull off than it looks. Going from alt-pop to industrial trance without landing somewhere awkward in the middle requires actually committing, and this remix does. It’s not trying to keep one foot in the pop world. It goes fully into club territory and stays there.
That willingness to go somewhere unexpected is the most compelling thing about m0n0 jay as an artist right now. Go back and listen to her earlier releases to hear how far the range stretches. Then follow m0n0 jay to keep up with wherever 2026 takes her next.
