Love Ghost – “Spirit Box”

Love Ghost’s new track “Spirit Box” mixes a bunch of sounds, alt-rock, grunge, pop punk, and even some metal edges, this is an impressive track that you need to play again and again. They don’t seem too worried about sticking to one lane and that’s part of what makes it work. The title comes from that radio like device used to try and talk to the dead, which gives the song a cool hook before you even hit play. Lyrically they’re still leaning into the heavy stuff like trauma and mental health, and it feels honest, not forced.

The vocals aren’t polished in a pop way, and that’s a good thing. They’ve got this unfiltered tone that makes it sound like the singer actually believes every word. The artwork nails the vibe with a ghostly hand coming out of a spirit box in moody purple tones. Looks sharp without being messy. This is not the first time we have covered Love Ghost, they always release stunning and impressive tracks.
