Lost Velvet – “Endless”

I’m completely drawn to Lost Velvet’s debut single, titled “Endless”, because the production is super clean and the vocals are catchy and easy to follow from the start of the track.
Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris have put together a truly special project. As soon as the whammy guitars start, you’re taken to a bright and exciting nighttime setting that seems both known and new. They mix grunge sounds with post-rock music in a way that’s truly impressive and Morris’s voice adds a haunting effect that makes you shiver.
The way “Endless” is put together reminds me of driving late at night on a deserted highway, trying to find something you can’t quite explain. The guitars are distorted to make a powerful sound that isn’t too much and the rhythm section keeps everything moving and steady. The ’90s sound influences clearly, but they’re not trying to sound like anyone else – they’re making it their own. I was excited to share this one with you because not every artist delivers an impressive track as a debut and let us not forget the beautiful artwork
“Endless” is a debut that makes you look forward to what the duo does next and I believe this track should be getting more attention. You should check out Lost Velvet on social media because they’re doing something special here and this is the kind of song you should share with anyone who loves great music.
