Loser Demon – “EP3”

Riverside, California garage rock four-piece Loser Demon hit with a raw power on their third record, “EP3”. Recorded in a tiny 10×10 backyard space, this collection highlights two years of tight teamwork between Keith, Dan, Zach, and Kyle. The result is loud, catchy indie that shifts between melodic hooks and complete disorder without warning.

The six songs move quickly, starting with “New Year, New Hell” and moving straight into “Roulette” and “Expensive Speech”. Midway through, “Doesn’t Feel Like Home Anymore” adds a longer stretch to the project, while short burst “The Tower” and closer “The Conveyor” keep the momentum going until the final note.

You can hear nods to classic underground acts like Pavement, Uncle Joe’s Big Ol’ Driver, Interpol, and Superchunk, but the group carves out its own distinct path. The losers (Keith and Dan) keep steady time while the demons (Zach and Kyle) push the sound forward. It captures the energy of four guys huddled close in a small space, turning regular noise making into genuinely sharp rock tracks that prove why their craft has honed so well over time.

“EP3” is an absolute masterpiece of indie rock. Loser Demon put everything into this project, and the results speak for themselves. You should definitely go back and check out the band’s previous releases to see how far they have come over the years.
