LB Beistad – “Tsunami”

LB Beistad’s album “Tsunami” is wonderful. Based in Nashville, she’s been carving out her space in the indie scene for a while, and this release really feels like a turning point. It’s clear the album comes from a personal place, it deals with transformation, heartbreak, and figuring things out, but without trying too hard to be deep or overly polished.
LB Beistad blends indie rock, pop, and Americana in a way that feels natural. It’s not one of those records that chases a specific sound, it sounds like her. People have compared her to Phoebe Bridgers and Sharon Van Etten, and you can hear why, but she’s not copying anyone. The songs reflect years of writing and growth, and that time spent refining her voice definitely shows. “Horse Seeks Carrot” is probably my favorite track, it hits in a quiet, steady way that sticks.
If you’re into indie music with honesty and a little grit, “Tsunami” is worth a listen. Follow LB Beistad on social media to keep up with what she’s putting out next in 2025.
