Kaiwyn – “Good Boy”

Today, I’m excited to share with you Kaiwyn’s new single “Good Boy”, it’s about when you realize you’ve been bending over backwards for everyone else and completely lost yourself. The song starts with Kaiwyn admitting he’s been a good boy his whole life and is finally figuring out what he actually wants. From there, he digs into how tiring it is to always be the person who says yes, who keeps the peace, who never rocks the boat. Lines like “I’m not someone you can brutalise” and “I thought I tried to give you everything” show someone who’s done playing that role.

But here’s where it gets interesting, instead of staying stuck in that anger and disappointment, Kaiwyn flips it around. By the end, he’s basically saying screw it, live your life whether people think you’re good or bad, and it’s really one of the best releases I’ve heard this week so far. The guitars and drums give it this pop-rock energy that makes you want to move, and the chorus is genuinely anthemic without being cheesy.
