Joe Sensible – “Second Chance”

If you’re into thoughtful acoustic music, this one’s worth a listen. The folk and country folk vibes, keeping things soft and relaxed. Joe sticks to his signature fingerstyle acoustic guitar, which gives the song a warm, intimate feel from the start. Joe Sensible’s “Second Chance” is really the best track I’ve discovered today and pretty sure you will love it.
I like Joe’s approach is that he doesn’t follow a typical formula, his music has this calm complexity to it, nothing flashy or forced, just honest songwriting with a lot of thought behind it. “Second Chance” fits into that style perfectly, it’s reflective without being heavy, and there’s a quiet confidence running through it.
The song is part of a larger project, his second self-produced album, which pulls from songs he wrote during his 20s. That context adds a bit more depth, knowing this is coming from a personal archive of sorts. Also cool to know the whole album was mastered by Luiz Tornaghi, who’s a Latin Grammy-winning engineer. That gives the project a nice professional polish without taking away from its raw, grounded feel.
If you’re into artists like Nick Drake or Ben Howard, Joe Sensible might be someone to keep an eye on. Give him a follow on socials to catch what else he’s dropping in 2025.
