Jax Fleming – “I’ll be Fine”

Jax Fleming’s debut EP “I’ll Be Fine” is six tracks of unfiltered honesty from the last couple years of his life. The Henderson, Kentucky artist spent a year and a half on this project with producer Wes, and nothing about it feels rushed or half-done.

This EP is deeply personal. Jax isn’t polishing things up or playing it safe here. He handled most of the instruments himself (guitar, drums, piano, bass) and every song has that DIY energy. It’s rough around the edges in a way that actually works, like someone opened up their journal and let you read it.

After his time with Atlas of the Dogs, Jax sounds completely different now. These songs dig into losing his band, the loneliness that followed, and being stuck between two worlds. His old high school friends are settling down with houses and families while he’s still betting everything on music. That’s the kind of real-life tension you don’t get in a lot of records.

Both “Superficial” and “3am” stand out, but the whole thing plays like one long conversation. You’re not just hearing songs, you’re getting the unedited version of where Jax is at right now.
