Indoor Yves – “The Cat”

Indoor Yves is a Philadelphia project led by Marcus Bryant, and the EP “The Cat” is a tight, personality-driven release that knows exactly who it’s for. Released on October 31, 2025.

The sound has that warm, analog character that fans of classic gear will recognize right away. On “Steal”, guitars from Ajay Shughart and Eoin Murphy bring in a sharper edge, giving the track a push that keeps it from sitting too comfortably in nostalgia. Everything was recorded at Bryant’s studio, The Coop, using analog instruments and magnetic tape, which adds texture and grit that you can actually hear.

The EP pulls inspiration from artists like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Molchat Doma, Prince, and Michael Jackson, and that mix makes sense once you spend time with it. This is music for people who come alive after dark, the punks, weirdos, drunks, and cat lovers Bryant openly embraces. The title connects directly to him and his cat Nabu, with that shadowy black-cat energy shaping the mood. “Another Meeting” revisits an earlier idea about a human encounter with extraterrestrial or dimensional beings, giving the project a strange and interesting narrative thread.

If this world sounds like yours, make sure you follow Indoor Yves on social media and keep up with what he has planned for the rest of the year.
