Future Mondays – “Future Mondays Faithlessly”

I discovered the new single “Faithlessly” by the New York band Future Mondays, it completely blew me away, and it brings a raw, energetic feeling that is incredibly hard to find in studio tracks these days, and this is why I enjoy it.

The group recorded this song with producer Tom Gardner at Rift Studios, a famous New York creative hub that has hosted incredible names like The National and Lana Del Rey. They made an excellent choice during the recording sessions by completely ditching a click track. By letting the tempo move naturally, the performance perfectly captures the true identity of their live gigs. Sean McNerney, Jacob Vittitow, Tom Marano, Alex Holz, and Chris DeRosa play together with a chemistry that is completely genuine and unforced. They pull from classic pop punk and new wave influences, sounding a bit like a mix of Blink-182 and The Ramones, but with a completely fresh perspective. The idea for the song grew out of a wild, whirlwind evening, and that fast paced excitement translates beautifully into the final recording. It has been their opening song at every single concert since their first gig, and you can easily tell they know exactly how to get a crowd moving.

The natural rhythm and energy make this track an absolute joy to experience multiple times. I highly recommend checking out Future Mondays’ previous releases to get a sense of their musical background. Make sure you follow Future Mondays to stay updated about new releases in the rest of this year.
