E.L.W.12 – “Scraped Truth”

E.L.W.12 is an electronic producer from Markkleeberg, Germany. Scraped Truth is just released, and from the first listen, you can tell it’s from someone who carves out time to make music because not making it isn’t really an option for them.

The album asks one question over and over in different ways: how much of what we call normal life are we just not looking at closely enough? It’s uncomfortable in the best way. “Who Are You Really?” hit me the hardest, a deceptively simple title, but the track earns it. “Graveyard of Morality”, “Man in the Mirror”, and “What If We Did” are my favorites. From the moment I discovered this album, I was excited to share it with you. From the vocals to the writing style, everything is perfect.

Worth mentioning: one track came out of a long-distance collaboration with a vocalist over 8,000 kilometers away. They never met. It worked anyway. This is music made by someone paying attention to things most people scroll past, and trust me, you need to check other projects by the artist, like “Artificial Love”.
