Deep Sea Arcade – “Alone In America”

This is not the first time we covered Deep Sea Arcade, and their latest is just impressive, titled “Alone In America”. The track is the second glimpse of their upcoming third album, “Colourised”, due in early 2026, and it comes with a lot of meaning behind it.
The song was written while looking back on their last tour before the passing of Nick Weaver, which gives it a pretty heavy emotional core. McKenzie has shared that the inspiration came from a still moment in South America where things felt distant but alive, and that sense of being suspended between worlds definitely comes through. He also connects it to his love of the band America, which adds a cool layer, it is part homage but still very much their own.
The collaboration with Jay Watson of Tame Impala and Pond is another highlight, shaping the track from simple demos into something cinematic and rich. Even the artwork, shot by McKenzie on that same tour, locks into the mood of isolation and reflection.
If you’re into bands like Tame Impala or MGMT, this is worth a listen. Keep up with Deep Sea Arcade on social media and Spotify to catch the rest of what they’ve got planned for 2025.
