Dean Carter – “Wheel Of The Year”

I’m excited to share with you this awesome new album I’ve been spinning lately, Dean Carter’s “Wheel Of The Year”. Carter takes us on a musical trip through the pagan calendar, and it’s such a cool experience. From the summer solstice to the spring equinox, each track is like a little celebration of the seasons. I’m sure you will enjoy previous releases from Carter, you can check out them here.
The guitar work is beautiful and mesmerizing, you can feel the thought and care that went into every song. The opening track, “Standstill Sol-Invictus”, is a great introduction to the album and makes you want to hear it from the first track to the last one, and it perfectly captures that winter solstice vibe. The album is full of surprises and feels like you’re hearing stories told by a warm fire, with a bit of birdsong mixed in – and even some Shakespeare.
“Wheel Of The Year” is the kind of album that makes you want to slow down, get cozy, and just appreciate the beauty of nature. I’m really into it, and I think you will be too. You should give this album a listen and then go follow Dean Carter on social media to keep up with what he does next.
