Daisy Howard is a British singer-songwriter who’s been quietly building something worth paying attention to. Her latest single, “On & On”, deserves your full attention.
The song is about that exhausting loop of breaking up and getting back together with someone, over and over, knowing full well it’s going nowhere good. What’s refreshing is that Daisy doesn’t play the victim card here, and she’s fully aware that she’s part of the pattern, not just dragged along by it. That self-awareness is actually pretty rare in this kind of songwriting. A lot of people write about messy relationships and somehow forget they were in the room too.
She’s got this dry humor woven into the writing that keeps it from getting heavy-handed. It’s honest without being dramatic, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. You get the sense she sat down and just told the truth about something and the truth happened to be kind of funny in a “we really did this to ourselves” sort of way.
It’s worth mentioning that this is only her second single, and she’s already shaping a full debut album around a single relationship, following it from the obsession all the way through to the aftermath. That’s an ambitious structure, and “On & On” sits in an interesting spot within it: the moment things start shifting from chaos to clarity.
She’s got over four million YouTube views from years of cover performances, but this is where the original work begins. If you want to keep up with how the album unfolds, find her on Instagram and YouTube. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for her.
