Collaborations – “You Gotta Know”

“You Gotta Know” by Collaborations isn’t just a callback to the golden era of songwriting, and I’m sure you will love it. It’s a smart, well-constructed track that brings together a solid crew of musicians without sounding like it’s trying too hard. There’s a natural chemistry between the talented artists that feels lived-in and real, not studio-polished to death.
The rhythm section is tight without being stiff, the orchestration adds depth without overcomplicating things, and Anais Preller’s vocal presence lands perfectly in the middle of all that, you can tell these folks actually enjoy making music together. Also, whoever came up with the artwork nailed it, a tree growing out of a vinyl record, wrapped in flowing music notes? It’s clever, and it suits the whole idea of organic collaboration and deep roots meeting creative output.
