Caring Less – “Slow Down”

I really like this new one, “Slow Down” by Caring Less just hits that perfect balance of raw emotion and super clean production. It is as if the track has its own life, and the elements just fit perfectly into place. The mix is very clean, so you can really focus on all the layers: the ethereal guitars, the steady, dark beat, and, of course, Sara Johnson’s voice, which is simply amazing. It’s a very engaging performance because there is this tension in her singing that makes you feel like she is telling you a secret that you don’t need to be told outright.
The overall mood of the song is dark and brooding, and the song builds up slowly. The verses are tense and then the chorus just blossoms. It is one of those things that catches you unaware, and before you know it, you are in the middle of the magic. If you like things that are emotional without being cheesy or if you like a slow burn that pays off, this is 100% for you.
I seriously loved this one, and if you’ve got a thing for beautifully crafted songs that really feel something, go check out “Slow Down”, and follow Caring Less on Instagram and Facebook, and add the track to your playlist because it honestly deserves it.
