Captain Blistermint – “Spider Web”

Captain Blistermint’s new track “Spider Web” kicks off with this tight, stomping groove that grabs you right away, like you’re walking into a scene already in motion. The guitars are crunchy and a little bit reckless, and the vocals ride on top with just enough swagger to keep it playful, but you can still hear the edge in there.

The lyrics are all about moving on from the people you thought you’d stick with forever. It’s reflective without being heavy. There’s honesty in the way it talks about outgrowing old friendships, and that whole idea of letting go so you can grow, but it never feels preachy. Instead, it’s more like someone telling you a story they’ve already made peace with.

If you’re into indie rock that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still manages to sneak up on your feelings, you’ll probably want to keep Captain Blistermint on your radar. Follow them on Instagram and all the usual spots to catch what else they’ve got coming in 2025.
