Bottara – “Give It To Me”
Bottara, a London‑based artist, teamed up with producer 2 Points on “Give It To Me”. They first worked together on “Crumble Baby” after meeting in LA, and you can hear their trust in the way this track flows. The single mixes confidence and playfulness like Beyoncé’s “Cuff It” and Doechii’s “Persuasive”, showing how those artists handle desire with control and fun. To be honest, it’s one of the best tracks I’ve discovered today.
The spark came from a late‑night chat with a friend who confessed his feelings just before she boarded a flight. That confession gave the song its emotional backbone. She realised desire doesn’t need to be resolved to be powerful, and wrote about naming what you want without tying it up. The confessional moment had a tension and honesty that shaped the lyrics and still lingers under the groove and working with 2 Points sharpened her vision and gave the track a cohesive push. She doesn’t hide behind metaphors. She flirts openly and lets the energy stay light. The track is more self‑assured than her earlier songs and opens up a freer side.
It’s a bold, fun song that asks you to own your desires on your terms. I’m already queuing it up again and planning to follow Bottara on social media to keep up with what she releases next this year.
