Blackberry Crush – “My Own Backyard”

Blackberry Crush’s new EP “My Own Backyard” feels super personal and easy to connect with. “Honey, honey” kicks things off by laying out the kind of loneliness that sneaks up on you as an adult and “Botulist” describes those people who pop back into your life and mess with your progress, and “The Fool” is basically a frustrated love letter to someone refusing to mature. The closer, “Sheriff” with Nicki Walters on vocals digs into that whole messy thing of going back home and realizing it was never perfect.
