Astral High – “Life’s For Fun”

Astral High, a Melbourne-based alt-rock band, released their second single this month, titled “Life’s For Fun”, and honestly, the title says all you need to know about it. It’s a short and punchy track (just over two and a half minutes) that cuts right to the point, stop wasting time and start chasing what makes you feel alive. Trust me, you will adore this track and you will find yourself hitting the reply button again and again.

You can tell the band’s having a good time with this one, and that carries over to the listener. It’s loud, catchy, and has that kind of hook that gets stuck in your head before the first chorus is even over. The production, done by Evan Lee and Ash Daws at The Loud Noise Estate, keeps things raw but focused. Astral High played a launch show at The Catfish in Fitzroy on September 13 to mark the release, with support from Berkeley and Casino Daylight. A good local setup for a track like this.

If you like your rock unfiltered and straight-up fun, this one’s worth a listen. Give “Life’s For Fun” a spin and follow Astral High on socials to keep up with the rest of their 2025 releases.
