Amara Fe – “Reborn”

Amara Fe’s debut album, “Reborn”, is a big step forward for the Mission, United States-based artist. Released just this month, it feels like the natural result of someone who decided to stop waiting for others to open doors and instead built her own. She talks openly about how she started as a songwriter trying to pitch ideas but found it tough to break in without connections. That’s what pushed her to take full control of her music, and you can hear that independence in “Reborn”.
Standouts like “To good for that” and “Turn her back” can easily stick in your head and what makes this album engaging is how personal. Amara draws on family history, with stories of her uncle Eugene and Rene jamming in Tulsa and her grandmother writing for Minnie Riperton, to build something that feels connected to real life. She says the songs come from events, ideas, and things she’s seen or heard, and that honesty gives the whole project a relatable energy. It’s not trying to follow anyone else’s path, it’s about putting purpose and joy back into music. And to be honest, the track that stuck in my head is “Cut the strings”, and I’m sure you will love it as much as I did.
