Harry Cleverdon – “Survival”

I really loved “Survival”. It just hits right, clean, raw, unbothered by trends. This is the first time I’ve heard Harry, and he is a rising artist who deserves my full attention this year.

If you’re into songs that actually say something, you’re going to love a lot of this. Harry doesn’t dress things up; he tells it straight. Every track on “Empty Bottles” is catchy, from the groove of “Empty Bottles” to the quiet punch of “Superman (Late Night Trance)”. The title track, ‘Survival’, really shows how good his songwriting is, and this is what makes the release impressive in the first place. And let’s not forget the incredible “House Of Cards”, which is my favorite track of the album, and it’s the reason why I was excited to share it with you.

If you like real instruments, good stories and music that doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not, you’ll want to keep up with Harry Cleverdon, follow him on Instagram because this release is such a promising debut and you can tell he’s just getting started and you don’t want to miss whatever else he’s got coming later in 2025.
