The title itself comes from a desperate tactic Colt Holmes used during that time, taking high doses of over-the-counter medication to curb harsh withdrawal symptoms when nothing else was available. Though these harrowing events happened a decade ago, waiting ten years to write and record the song gives the narrative a distinct, reflective perspective.  It feels like a piece of art that needed a full decade to process, turning traumatic memories into a focused, powerful statement. Lerman’s production is impressive, letting the story’s weight hit directly without relying on studio tricks, artificial gloss, or unnecessary ornamentation.
