Take Back The Sun – “Modern Treason”

Southern Wisconsin rock group Take Back The Sun put out a heavy hitter on June 19, 2026. The single is named “Modern Treason” and it lands right in the center of hard rock, punk, and progressive rock. This group has been playing together since 2021, and their tight chemistry shows in every second of this recording from Megatone Studios in Mt. Horeb, and producer Paul Schluter did an excellent job capturing the raw energy. The melodic keyboard parts give them a distinct identity, working alongside the heavy instrumentation.

This track tackles the subject of political turmoil. The words paint a dark picture of power structures, talking about masterminds dividing the sky and the city, and people trying to play God.
