Brook Fox – “Everybody’s In Love”
Brook Fox just put out a new indie-pop and alternative EP titled Everybody’s In Love, and it is a really great listen. Based out of Burry Port, Wales, Fox has created a four-track collection that hits a really nice sweet spot between personal connection and a wider commentary on the world.
The title track Everybody’s In Love and the opening song, Together, really stand out. There is a clear Sam Fender influence in the guitar work, mixed with a grounded, acoustic foundation. It captures those small, honest moments where being with the right person makes any random place feel special. What I love about the songwriting is how it balances these intimate feelings of companionship and devotion with a bigger look at modern life. Brook Fox touches on things going on in the world right now, even mentioning elites, billionaires, and the feeling that everything is burning down around us.
But the music never feels heavy or sad. A strong feeling of hope ties the whole thing together, giving you a sense of comfort instead of leaving you feeling defeated. It makes sense that these tracks have already been getting major love on the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List playlist and in magazines like Clash.
It is a fantastic debut digital release, also available on CD and vinyl. You should definitely check out the music on Spotify or SoundCloud, and make sure to follow on Instagram and TikTok to keep up with new music and live dates this year.
