Virgins at Heart – “Unlimited Showers”
“Unlimited Showers” is a warm, easy song to follow, it’s really the best release I discovered this week. Virgins at Heart take the idea of washing away old arguments and old mistakes and turn it into something gentle, steady, and kind. It is about starting over, but not in some huge dramatic way. It is more about finding a little peace, taking a breath, and trying again with a clearer head.
That is why I loved the song. The writing keeps things simple, and the mood never gets too heavy. There is comfort in it, but there is also a quiet push forward. The song reaches out to someone who needs a bit of care, and that gives it a real human pull. It comes across like a band trusting a good idea and letting it speak for itself.
That process fits Virgins at Heart really well. They have been together since the early 2000s, and you can sense the ease of a group that knows each other inside out. Their past run of releases, from 2 2 Tango to Safety Lagoon and songs like “Miseryproof” and “Show Me“, gives this one extra context. “Unlimited Showers” adds a softer side to that history without losing the catchy spark that has already been part of their sound.
Check out the band’s previous releases, follow Virgins at Heart, and keep up with what they do next.
