Michellar – “REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW”

Michellar’s new album REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW came out on January 2, and it’s really worth your time. It’s a 12-track release written by Michellar, with one song co-written with Tobias Wilson, who also handled the production. The whole thing feels personal, like someone finally had the space to make the music they’ve been holding in for a long time.

What I really liked is that Michellar only started writing and releasing music in 2024, but this doesn’t sound like someone still figuring things out. It’s clear they put in the hours, writing late at night, practicing guitar, and learning recording software, and Tobias Wilson’s production supports Michellar’s writing in a way that feels natural. The songs don’t sound overworked, and there’s a clear respect for the emotion behind them. It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is and that’s what makes it good.
