The Attached Outsiders – “Pour Choices”
Charlie Gunn and The Attached Outsiders put out a single that gets into the messy reality of dealing with heartbreak by drinking it away. “Pour Choices” is about using alcohol to escape emotional pain, even when you know it’s just creating more problems. It’s my favorite track of the day.
Gunn and his friends were actually drinking and staying up all night when they wrote the guitar parts. That chaotic energy made its way into the recording, and you can tell. Nothing about this sounds overly polished or cleaned up. It comes across as someone who’s genuinely hurting but keeps insisting they’re okay.
The song doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and it’s an honest take on how people deal with pain sometimes, not in the healthiest ways, but in ways that are completely understandable. If you’ve been in that spot where you’re just trying to make it through any way you can, you’ll probably connect with this.
Gunn started The Attached Outsiders back during the pandemic in Eagle Pass, Texas, and has turned it into a real creative outlet. Follow them on social media to see what they put out next in the rest of 2025.
