EGGER – “Strange Behaviour”

Wolfgang Egger launched his electronic project EGGER with “Strange Behaviour”, and it’s a solid debut and I’m pretty sure you will love it. The track has that late ’80s electronic vibe with analog synth sounds and sequences that create this dark, pulsating energy. It’s safe to say that it deserves a spot in your daily playlist.

The song basically asks: Why is technology getting weirder? And EGGER doesn’t pretend to have the answer. He just lets that question hang there, which works better than if he tried to explain it all. You can hear early Kraftwerk and darker Depeche Mode influences, but it’s not some retro copycat situation. He’s using those sounds to say something about our current digital mess.

The production is clean, and I really like the minimal and beautiful artwork. If you like synthwave or experimental electronic stuff that actually has a point beyond sounding cool, give this a listen. EGGER is raising questions about our relationship with technology while making music that sounds good doing it. Follow EGGER on social media to catch new releases coming in the rest of this year.
