Julie Paschke – “Cold In Your Town”
Julie Paschke’s latest single, “Cold In Your Town”, is the kind of track you find without expecting much, and then it sticks with you. The talented artist wrote, performed, and recorded it all at home, which already says a lot about how personal this release is. There’s a quiet honesty to it that doesn’t try to pull focus. It sounds like someone making music because they want to, not because they’re chasing anything. I just love this release so much.
The track plays more like a snapshot of scattered thoughts and feelings, disconnection, distance, that sense of not quite reaching someone. You can sit with it and take your own meaning from it, which is part of what makes it interesting. There’s no pressure to get it right or read it a certain way. It’s all pretty stripped back in the best way.
Julie is more into making something worthwhile in the moment and letting it live out there without needing to control how people take it in. That attitude comes through clearly in the song. If you like music that feels genuine and a little removed from all the noise, this is worth a listen. Follow Julie on social media to see what else she puts out in 2025.
