Blind Man’s Daughter – “Harbor Boulevard”

“Harbor Boulevard”, is the newest single from Blind Man’s Daughter, and I’ve got to say it really stuck with me. This one’s coming from a personal place for Ashley Wolfe, who’s behind the project, and that’s easy to pick up on. It’s written for her dad, who’s living with Alzheimer’s, and the song reflects a lot of the small but important memories they’ve shared over the years.

She focuses on their first home on Harbor Boulevard, and you can tell it’s more than just a location, and there’s something honest about how she approached it. It doesn’t try to be overly dramatic or complex. It just tells the story, and that’s why it works.

The sound blends country warmth with pop in a way that fits the tone of the song. You’ve got the acoustic guitar, some light percussion, and her voice coming through clearly, and If you’ve listened to artists like Kacey Musgraves or even Taylor Swift during her quieter moments, you might find something familiar here. Not because it copies them, but because of how direct and personal it is.

What I like is how this release fits into the bigger picture of Wolfe’s work. Blind Man’s Daughter has already put out a wide range of songs, over 45 actually, and she’s still going strong with new music coming out every few weeks. This one feels a bit more stripped back than some of her past stuff, and I think that makes it easier to connect with on a personal level.

If you haven’t explored her other songs yet, it’s definitely worth digging in. Start with “Harbor Boulevard”, then check out more from her catalog. And don’t forget to follow Blind Man’s Daughter on social media so you can catch the upcoming singles. Sounds like there’s plenty more on the way.
