Siena Fantini – “what is it with me?”

Siena Fantini has put together a really impressive debut with her new EP, “what is it with me?”. At just 15 when she wrote these songs, she’s already showing a clear sense of identity as a songwriter. The EP is only four tracks long, but each one comes across as personal and rooted in her own teenage experiences, which makes it very relatable.
The opener and lead single, “wanna know her name”, dives into that messy feeling of jealousy when old relationships resurface online. It’s a situation many people recognize, and Siena keeps it direct and honest. “the loved” follows with piano as its backbone, and it’s one of the most memorable songs on the record. It speaks to that basic need we all share, to know we’re cared for, and she writes about it in a way that feels sincere and straightforward.
Then there’s “poptart”, which brings in a lighter energy even though it digs into how we put too much pressure on little details in our lives. Finally, “michigan” closes the project with a nostalgic story about summer camp friendships and the tough goodbyes that come with them. This EP is an honest snapshot of Siena at fifteen, and it’s a strong start to her career. Follow her on social media to keep up with her new music in 2025.
