TAMS/N OTWAY – “Wallow”

TAMS/N OTWAY’s new single “Wallow” is a track that deserves to be heard by anyone who loves unique and rich music. She’s a Melbourne artist, bartender by day and musician by night, who’s clearly channeling some serious life experience into her work. “Wallow” is the second track off her upcoming debut album “Whiskey Sour”, and it digs into the idea of breaking free from emotional traps, especially the ones we don’t even realize we’re stuck in.
The backstory behind this song is wild. In a quiet lockdown moment, a bird tapping on her bedroom window sparked something. That moment turned into a beat made from chopped-up bird sounds, which grew into a track that’s bold, moody, and kind of theatrical in the best way. There’s a build to it that mirrors what she was going through emotionally. She was stuck in loops of trauma, wanting to be free of it, and then finally pushing through. TAMS/N OTWAY is my new favorite artist.
What’s also cool is that TAMS/N OTWAY wrote and produced this track herself, you can tell it’s personal. She’s not just performing here, she’s processing. Definitely someone to keep an eye on as her debut album rolls out, hit follow on her socials if you want to hear what else she’s got lined up in 2025.
