CATSINGTON – “share well”

CATSINGTON is the music project of Jeff Katz, a filmmaker turned musician who started the whole thing in his Los Angeles apartment. “share well” is the fifth single and probably the most emotionally direct one yet. It has this grounded, relatable idea behind it, looking back on your life and realizing you could’ve been more open, more honest, but only after it’s too late. The whole thing is told from the perspective of someone literally falling, which sounds dramatic, but it works.

The track pulls inspiration from The Velvet Underground, Nico, Nancy Sinatra, and Lee Hazlewood, and you can definitely feel that influence. Not just in the tone, but in the way it doesn’t try to explain everything. It trusts the listener to connect the dots. There’s also a playfulness in how it delivers a pretty serious message. To be honest with you, it’s a track that sticks with you without trying too hard.

If this is where CATSINGTON is heading, it’s worth keeping an eye on. Definitely follow them on social media to stay updated on what’s coming next in 2025.
