Michellar – “September”

What I really liked about “September” is how personal it feels, you can tell it was written during a moment of reflection, that kind of early fall time when summer’s fading but still lingering in your mind. Michellar always impresses us with her rich and unique writing style, she is one of the best artists we covered on Beach House in the last couple of months. The artist is based in San Francisco, and the song was finished in the UK, which is cool to think about, how it came together across two different places.
Helen Walford’s vocals bring a lot of emotion to it, she adds something warm and real that fits perfectly with the tone of the song. If you’re into thoughtful, mellow tracks with meaning behind them, give “September” a listen. And when you are done, make sure to check out other releases by the talented artist that deserve your full attention as well, like “I Can’t meet you“, “Get me there to Church“, and “The Deep“.
Keep an eye on Michellar’s social media to stay updated on upcoming shows and new music in the rest of 2025.
