LED – “Goodbye Eric”

LED, the LA-based trio made up of Layne Olivia, Lockett Pentz, and Edie Yvonne, has dropped their sophomore single, “Goodbye Eric”, and it’s a confident step forward for the band. Meeting at film camp last summer might not sound like the most obvious start to a music project, but LED clearly clicked in a way that’s paying off. This track has an energy that feels sure of itself without trying too hard, and it’s easy to imagine it resonating with anyone who’s been in that bittersweet place of moving on.
There’s a certain charm in how LED keeps things grounded, the song doesn’t feel overworked or overthought, it rides on a sense of momentum that makes you want to hit repeat. It’s also fun to think this is only their second release, considering how naturally they seem to fit together as a group. With more tracks like their upcoming “Hot Mess” on the way, LED is shaping up to be a band worth keeping an eye on for the rest of the year.
