cydan – “promises to you”

Toronto-based artist cydan is back with a heartfelt new single, “Promises to You”, dropped on July 25, 2025. It’s safe to say it’s one of the best five tracks I’ve heard this week so far.

“Promises to You” doesn’t sound like a polished, overproduced love song. The rich and expressive vocals carry a natural, conversational tone that matches the song’s emotional pull, making it easy to connect with every lyric and every note. I just love how the song balances fear and hope without leaning too far into either side. It’s not trying to romanticize love or dramatize heartbreak. It’s just honest about the risk of truly giving yourself to someone. That kind of sincerity sticks with you.
