THE SPINNING GAME – “Death”

THE SPINNING GAME’s new EP “Death” doesn’t just resurrect the project; it grabs it by the collar and hauls it straight into 2025. Written and recorded after a long hiatus, this one feels personal without needing a press release to explain it. You can hear that it came out of some heavy real-life stuff, and instead of hiding it under polish, the music lets the mess and the beauty sit together in the same room.

The home studio vibe works in its favor, everything sounds like it was crafted by someone who knows exactly what they want but isn’t afraid to mess around to get there. “Run Away” and “Curtains Close” especially show off the kind of production decisions that only happen when the people making the music aren’t rushing to please anyone but themselves. There’s collaboration all over this thing, too, and it never feels crowded.

If you’re into honest work made by someone who’s been through it and kept recording anyway, follow THE SPINNING GAME on socials and keep an eye out for whatever else drops in 2025.
