The House Flies – “Sweet Foxhound”

The House Flies are back with a new single, “Sweet Foxhound”, and it picks up right where their last record left off. If you’ve been following them since “Mannequin Deposit” or even further back to the “Glimmer” EP, this track will feel like a natural next step, it’s heavier, moodier, and more layered.

There’s a darker energy pulsing through this one, the guitar work is thick and atmospheric, the bass keeps everything moving forward, and the whole thing sits in that space between hypnotic and unsettling, in a good way. It still sounds like them, but with a little more bite.

It’s also the first official release with their second guitarist, Burnie Eckardt (from Dynoride), and that extra guitar definitely adds more intensity to the mix. “Sweet Foxhound” had been played live during the “Mannequin Deposit” era, but now it’s been properly locked in and recorded.

Keep an eye on The House Flies and follow them on socials to stay updated on new releases in the rest of 2025.
