Songbird – “Dry Land”

Songbird’s “Dry Land” taps into something raw without trying to spell it all out for you. Inspired by the behavior of Great White Sharks, it takes that predatory energy and flips it into something way more personal. It doesn’t hold your hand, it just throws you right into that feeling of being dragged under, whether by a person, your own habits, or whatever weight’s been sitting on your chest.
What’s cool is you can almost feel something circling, like the tension’s building even when things feel calm. There’s no need to know the backstory to feel where this track is coming from, but once you do, it makes it hit even harder. It’s one of those songs that won’t tell you exactly what to feel, but somehow still gets it right. This one’s worth playing loud, alone, maybe while unpacking some stuff you’ve been ignoring. Or not. Either way, it sticks.
