Sharpshooter Soundworks – “Breakin’ All The Rules (Massive)”

Andrew Shabazz has been making music out of his Chicago home studio for over a decade, writing and producing every piece of his work himself. He handles everything from initial composition to final production using just a keyboard and FL Studio, driven by a simple love for experimenting and trying new things. That hands-on approach keeps his sound flexible, and his latest release shows him stepping into a completely new style.

“Breakin’ All The Rules (Massive)” came out on October 8th and I really like that it was built from scratch during a casual one-hour weekend session; the track captures pure creative energy without any overthinking, and this is what makes it unique. Andrew crafted a custom sample designed to mimic an original 70s recording, then ran it through saturation and degradation plugins to give the music an authentic vintage character that feels deeply satisfying. From the moment this one landed on my radar, I was excited to share it with you.

The easygoing nature of that recording session translates directly into the final track and it sounds completely spontaneous, packed with retro flavor and an easy energy that makes you want to move. Because he let his instincts take over during the writing process, the music feels remarkably free and loose. It shows an artist willing to push his own boundaries just to see what happens, and that playful mindset pays off here.
