MiQael – “Love & Death”

There’s a certain kind of EP you stumble across late at night that makes you pause everything. That’s exactly how MiQael’s “Love & Death” landed on me. It’s just four tracks, but man, it feels like a whole journey.
MiQael brings his raw guitar work and songwriting into this with total honesty, and the vocals by Anniê? Pure feeling. They’re not flashy or overdone, just real, clear, and beautiful. You can feel the push and pull in every song, like two people fighting the odds to stay together, even when everything is falling apart.
“Two Becoming One” starts it off in this soft, dreamy way that slowly builds. “Pull You Through” hit me in the gut, it’s gentle but heavy at the same time. “Forever” has this almost haunting vibe, and the title track “Love & Death” just ties it all together with this slow-burning kind of heartbreak that lingers. It’s not a loud record. It’s not trying to be the biggest thing in the room. But it’s honest, emotional, and stays with you. I’ve had it on repeat without even thinking about it. It’s the kind of EP you listen to when you’re driving through the night or sitting quietly with your own thoughts.
If you’re into music that’s deeply human and doesn’t pretend to be anything else, this one’s for you. Definitely keep an eye on MiQael and Anniê. Follow them on socials, because whatever they do next, I already know I’ll be all over it.
