JCCutter – “We Live Through it All”
When I clicked on the play button for JCCutter’s new single “We Live Through it All”, and it connected with me more than I expected. This New Mexico artist has been writing music since childhood but only started releasing songs after spending years working regular jobs to pay the bills. Knowing that adds a different layer to the music.
The song anchors JCCutter’s album “Perspectives”. It was written after years of traveling the world with family, dealing with earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires, and other disasters. But this isn’t a sad song about hardship. It’s about resilience and realizing you’re not facing things alone.
JCCutter wanted to remind people that we have collective strength when life gets rough, and the message comes across without beating you over the head with it. The title says everything: we do keep living despite what gets thrown at us. I like hearing from someone who has actually experienced life beyond music. JCCutter wrote these songs during off-hours while still working, and you can tell. There’s a groundedness here that comes from real experience, not just studio time.
