FLAUVS NOVA – “Blur”

I am so impressed with FLAVUS NOVA’s new single “Blur”. When you hit play, you will be captivated by the lyrics that are so real and emotional, which explore the struggles of people pleasing – something many of you will relate to. The song builds beautifully into an energetic, melodic chorus that’s impossible to get out of your head.

What makes this track so impressive is that NOVA balances vulnerability with strength, creating what feels like an anthem for anyone who’s ever struggled to say “no” and prioritize themselves. The indie pop/rock carries influences from Paramore and Flyleaf but NOVA adds her own twist of darkness to the genre.

The Irish-born, UK-based artist has clearly put a lot of effort into this third single, collaborating with producer Tom Davis to turn her 2022 demo into a proper song that retains the raw emotion of the original while delivering a polished sound. For me, “Blur” is a great start for FLAVUS NOVA as an artist, and you should follow her on social media to check out the rest of her work in 2025.
