DownTown Mystic – “Hard Enough (Remix)”
DownTown Mystic starts 2026 with “Hard Enough (Remix)”. This version brings together drummer Max Weinberg and bassist Garry Tallent, the rhythm section known from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Having them on the track gives it real punch and a steady drive that never lets up.
The single serves as the first preview of the upcoming On E Street Remix project and includes two tracks, plus a previously unheard instrumental TV Mix. Robert Allen revisited the original recordings at Shorefire Studios with engineer Joe DeMaio, giving the sessions a renewed spark while keeping the heart of what made them strong in the first place. There is also a cool bit of history here, since these recordings happened while Max and Garry were working on what became Born In The USA. The song carries a Rolling Stones spirit, with Max playing in the pocket in a way that brings Charlie Watts to mind, while Garry locks in with a bass line that nods to Springsteen’s “Ramrod”.
If you care about guitar-driven rock that respects its roots and still sounds alive, give this one a spin. Follow DownTown Mystic on social media to stay updated on what’s coming next this year.
