deb. – “Peel, Pit, Pulp”

deb.’s new EP “Peel, Pit, Pulp” is really something you need to hear from the first track to the last one. It pulls back layers of emotion and tells stories mixing jazz, folk, and pop that feel both fresh and deeply personal. The band, led by the incredible Debora Monfregola, made something that’s playful and thoughtful, balancing dreamy sounds with real honesty.
One cool thing is how easily “Peel, Pit, Pulp” moves between moods. Some songs feel like good old childhood memories, soft and nostalgic, while others have a rhythm that keeps you interested. Daniel Somaroo’s production gives the EP a smooth but natural vibe, like a band that’s growing into its sound while keeping its heart firmly intact. If I have to pick my favorite songs, with no hesitation I will pick “All I Know” and “Shiver”.
The lyrics go pretty deep. You can hear the vulnerability and reflection in these songs, talking about relationships, self-discovery, and the messy, beautiful contradictions of being human. Mixing acoustic and electronic sounds makes it feel alive, and the jazz makes it even more interesting. What makes deb. so special is the chemistry between the band members. You can hear it in every note, they’re friends making music they care about. That energy makes it feel intimate and real.
If you like music that tells a story, check this EP out and let us know what you think. It’s deep, groovy, and charming. Go listen to “Peel, Pit, Pulp”, and follow deb. because you’ll want to see what they do next.
