Le Concorde – “Corpus Christi”

Le Concorde’s new single “Corpus Christi” is incredible and I just love it. When you hit play, it pulls you into this shimmering, synth-driven world that feels both nostalgic and completely fresh at the same time. If you’re a fan of that classic ‘80s sophistipop sound (Prefab Sprout, The Blue Nile, Scritti Politti, etc.), you’re in for a treat.
This track is next-level production. The rich and unique melody, and soulful vocals all blend so effortlessly with legendary producer Calum Malcolm involved. Let’s talk about the musicianship! Roger Joseph Manning, Jr. (yes, from Jellyfish and Beck!) adds some absolutely gorgeous keyboard work, and Vinzenz Benjamin and Ash Soan bring that deep, rhythmic groove that makes the song feel alive.
But what really makes “Corpus Christi” special, is Stephen Becker’s thoughtful songwriting, there’s this deep reflection on faith, beauty, and belief in every note. Somehow, the track never feels heavy, it’s uplifting, elegant, and just downright stunning. This is the kind of song you can play on repeat and find new little details every time.
If you haven’t listened to “Corpus Christi” yet, do yourself a favor and listen to it. While you’re at it, be sure to follow Le Concorde on social media, this is an artist you don’t want to miss!
