laughghter – “killing, grief and lies”
I totally love laughghter’s EP “killing, grief and lies”. Seriously, this release is such a wild blend of emotions that hit you right in the feels. From the moment I pressed play, I was hooked by the dark humor and raw honesty running through each track. This 6-track project, which dropped on October 18th, 2024, was crafted between Glasgow and London, giving it a beautifully intimate bedroom-produced vibe. The way laughghter takes that nostalgic 50’s Americana and Country & Western sound and throws it into a gritty modern-day soundscape is just impresive. Think The Everly Brothers meets PJ Harvey with a splash of Nicole Dollanganger vibes.
The standout single, “Satan Stop the Wheel”, dives into procrastination, failure, and the desperate need to be loved, all wrapped in a bleak but hilarious package. You need this EP in your life, so do yourself a favor and follow laughghter on social media and, trust me, add this gem to your playlist right now.
