Baby Tapir – “Bright And Morning Star”

“Bright And Morningstar” is the kind of song that takes its sweet time getting to you, and honestly, that patience pays off in a huge way. Chris Beck, working under the name Baby Tapir out of his home in Milwaukee, played every single instrument, set every recording knob, and mixed every track entirely by himself. You can tell real thought went into every corner of the sound. The track brings to mind the fun and quirky energy of artists like MGMT and They Might Be Giants, while adding darker music pieces that give the whole song genuine depth and shadow.

Writing this music was certainly no quick task. It took plenty of calm walks and quiet thinking to find the exact words and tunes. That slow building time shows in the final piece. The song keeps an open style that refuses to box you into one single meaning. Rather than holding your hand or spelling out a strict story, it leaves space for you to bring your own life experiences and personal feelings to the listening session. Every instrument sounds real and grounded, capturing a solo creative vision done with total care and purpose. The quiet spiritual feelings running under the surface remind you that conscious choices matter in art and daily life.

Make sure to follow Baby Tapir to stay updated about new tunes for the rest of this year so you do not miss a single beat from Chris Beck. If this single is any sign of where his Milwaukee home studio is heading, you will want to check his previous releases right away.

Take some time to look at his past work because the older songs hold just as much fun charm and thoughtful sound as this newest gem. It is wonderful to hear someone making art on their own terms without rushing the process in any way. Listening closely reveals layers upon layers of careful work that make repeated plays deeply fun, offering fresh acoustic details every single time you press play on your home stereo system right now while enjoying the warm afternoon sun shining brightly outside today.
