Arienas “Those Were The Days”
Arienas, a four-piece indie rock band out of Fife, Scotland, are making noise with their single “Those Were The Days” and I’m pretty sure you will love it as much as I did. The artwork caught my attention immediately and it’s my favorite part, showing two older people sitting side by side on a park bench, looking out at a calm body of water.
Lead singer Sam wrote it while away on the first holiday of a new relationship, capturing that early honeymoon period where everything feels completely free and full of excitement. The whole idea is wanting to hold onto those specific moments and relive them and this is what makes it more interesting.
You get that exact feeling in the chorus; it takes a personal, nostalgic emotion and pairs it with an uplifting, energetic indie rock sound that they built up over a busy summer playing live shows across Scotland and England.
They have gig dates lined up through the rest of the year in Dundee, Preston, Glasgow, and Markinch if you want to see them perform live. Follow Arienas on their social media channels so you can stay in the loop with all their new releases throughout 2026.
